Mini project about smart helmet that detects accident

Now a days most of the countries are enforcing their citizen to wear helmet while riding bike and not to ride bike when the person is under the influence of alcohol, but still rules are being violated. In order to overcome this problem, “Smart helmet for bike riders ” is developed. It consists of an intelligent system embedded into the helmet and the vehicle. Helmet unit ensures that rider is wearing helmet and not under influence of alcohol through out the ride. It communicates with vehicle unit to switch o n  ignition system of bike if above condition is not met. Vehicle unit checks and intimates accident through geometric coordinates via SMS. By using geometric coordinates, location of the injured rider can be traced using simple GPS tracking application. Also, this system provide theft protection as helmet is also essential along with key to start bike. Motivation The road accident is one of the major problems all over the world. The recent report says that the annu...

Mini Project about Highway wind turbine

Motivation behind the project Renewable energy shares 10% in total energy supply and 25% in power sector. Use of solar and wind energy leads to energy system saving of AED 7 billion annually by 2030. Problem statement Highways appears to be a  sufficient  source of potential wind energy and there is a  problem of utilizing the wind energy continuously and efficiently to meet the power demands of country. Objectives  To design a wind turbine that uses the wind draft created by vehicles on highway to generate the electricity.   Optimize the turbine performance to generate electricity required for the highway lights, LED displays, Speed radars, Cameras etc.        Design  This proposed design can capture wind from all directions.  If the wind speed approx. 7 m/s the expected power developed will be 28 W. This result expectations will be correlated with final model testing.  Magnetic levitation tech...

STUDY OF FLOWMETERS

1. VENTURIMETER A flow meter is a device that measures the rate of flow or quantity of a moving fluid in an open or closed conduit. The most widely used flow metering principle involves placing a fixed area flow restriction of some type in the pipe or duct carrying the fluid. This flow restriction causes a pressure drop that varies with the flow rate. Thus, measurement of the pressure drop by means of a suitable differential-pressure pick up allows flow rate measurement. The important flow meters are A venturi meter is a device which is used to measure the rate of flow or discharge in a pipe. It works on principle of measurement of pressure drop in the direction of flow that facilitates in the determination of the discharge. The pressure drop is created by the reduction of flow area in the flow direction. It consists of three parts: convergent cone, throat and divergent cone. The convergent cone is of shorter length so as to accelerate the fluid with lesser energy loss and the dive...

LAYERS: CREATION, NAMING, PROPERTIES MANAGER

Working with Layers Working  with  Layers  is  analogous  to  drawing  manually  using  Layers  of  see-through  media.   Parts  or portions  -  these might be functional portions, such as Construction Lines,  of one complete drawing are drawn on different 'media' that, imposed on top of one another, form the entire drawing. Layers are useful in  separating  entities,  such  as  parts  or  sub-assemblies,  or  structural  components,  such  as  pipe  sizes  or building materials. They also serve to separate elements such as Construction Lines, Centerlines, Outlines, and Dimensions, or items  that are to be placed in a group, such as foliage in an architectural drawing. When you use Layers, you have a clearer construction of the drawing and better control over the drawing. Layer 0: The Default Layer The default Laye...
